About Christina
Hi, I'm Christina.
My own story taught me that what I believed and what I could access in the moment were not always the same.
It changed how I saw faith, growth, and the people in front of me.
I believe people make more sense when we understand their story.
This work became personal before it became professional.
For years, I kept returning to the same questions:
Why can we believe something sincerely and still struggle to access it when we need it?
Why do our reactions sometimes feel stronger or faster than our intentions?
How do trust, relationship, the body, and spiritual formation work together as we grow?
Those questions led me to study embodiment, body-mind therapy, the nervous system, attachment, relationship, and spiritual formation.
I was not looking for a way to explain away faith. I wanted to understand more fully how God designed human beings to receive, remember, trust, connect, and grow.
There is a person connected to the nervous system.
The nervous system can help explain part of what someone is experiencing, but it never tells the whole story.
A reaction is not an identity. A signal is information, not a verdict. A protective response is not proof that someone is broken.
People are not projects to fix, manage, or make into our version of healthy or mature.
Understanding comes before solutions. Relationship matters. Agency matters. And growth has to leave room for the person's own story, pace, choices, and relationship with God.
What guides my work
God is Source.
Scripture is the governing authority. Science can help us understand creation, but it does not explain or contain God.
Love is the purpose.
The goal is not regulation for its own sake. The goal is greater freedom and capacity to love God, ourselves, and other people well.
Signals are communication, not identity.
Feelings, symptoms, reactions, and protective patterns may have something important to tell us, but they do not get the final word.
Growth is relational.
We were made to know and be known, love and be loved, and belong without losing ourselves.
Truth was meant to become lived.
What is true in Christ can increasingly shape the way we perceive, respond, relate, love, and live.
The work I do today
Through the When Truth Doesn't Feel True podcast, Resonance, groups, speaking and training, and individualized services through Live Intentionally, I help people make sense of what sits beneath the surface and find a grounded next step.
I also co-founded Ancora with Dr. Kate Nielsen to help families and the people who support them understand what may be happening beneath behavior, stress, disconnection, and developmental challenges.
I am a body-mind therapist whose professional background includes licensed massage and bodywork, holistic health, nervous-system approaches, biofeedback, neurofeedback, attachment work, and Christian coaching.
I am also a mother of four, a church youth leader, and someone who believes ordinary life is where faith takes shape.
What I hope you experience here
I hope you feel met as a person, not evaluated as a problem.
I hope complexity becomes less frightening.
I hope you leave with more curiosity, more agency, and deeper trust in the way God meets us as we grow.
From knowing truth to living truth.
You do not need to change everything at once. One honest, relational step is enough.
